Who have thought that this month will be the end of the third-generation iPad which has attached a lot of apple users right from 2012 with its unique feature of Retina Display.
It means Apple Stores and Apple Authorised Service Centers will stop service the tablet, repairing and accepting them because of it already 5 years surpassed from manufacturing. Only in Turkey and California Apple will continue to offer repair support because of local laws.
In California, for example, third-generation iPad owners may still obtain service from Apple Stores or by contacting Apple support at 1-800-APL-CARE. The extended coverage period will likely end in October 2019.
iPad 3’s Retina Display was highly praised though little criticised for its weight, poor performance and a long time for charging. Interestingly it was the last Apple to feature the 30-pin dock connector. As a known factor Apple has ended p replacing all the iPad 3 with latest fourth-generation with Lightning connector just within its 2 quarters of its release.
Are you still using the third-generation iPad? Or have you already discarded it?
