Will Steve Job be happy seeing the iPhone X?
Who doesn’t know Steve Job – the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc.? He is known for his innovative skills and is the creator of Macintosh, iPod, iPad, and iPhones which are also very popular worldwide. According to Apple’s liaison officer, Michael Foulkes, the two iPhone yet to be released before the death of Jobs was already designed. Meaning, he is talking about the iPhone 4 and 5 series. Jobs died just days after the iPhone 4S is unveiled.
The first iPhone was released in the year 2007 and in total Apple has released 18 models of iPhone. Out of that 18 iPhones, Steve Jobs have designed 8 iPhones. Each design was a hit and has received a lot of feedback. Some are praises and some are critics. But, it doesn’t change the fact that the iPhone is a success. Also, according to Jobs, “i” in iMac, iPad, iPod, and iPhone is the internet, individual, instruct, inform, and inspire
The Apple iPhones has Apple iOS. They are the multi-touch screen that has a virtual keyboard. It has Wi-Fi and can connect to cellular networks. It has a feature that a usual smartphone has, such as sending and receiving text messages and emails, records voice, take photos and videos, browse websites and GPS navigation. Apple also has its own store for downloading apps to enable more feature on the iPhone.
Steve Jobs’ reaction to iPhone X.
Wayback to the release of the 1st Gen iPhone, January 2007 – it was dubbed as ‘Jesus phone’. It is a GSM phone that is made available to six countries at that time. And according to Steve Jobs “Apple is going to reinvent the phone” and he turns out to be right. Then, on the next year was the iPhone 3G which is nearly similar to the first one but with added 3G support. Then comes the 3Gs with improved hardware and is now capable of video recording and voice control. The “S” stands for “Speed”. Next is iPhone 4, with a metal chassis and higher display resolution now has a front-facing camera. Then the iPhone 4S that introduces the very friendly Siri being the voice assistant and the camera went up to 8 megapixels. Next will be the iPhone 5 that has major upgrades from the size which is taller with a 4-inch display and with the introduction of the lightning connector that has 8 pins. In 2013, the very first fingerprint reader iPhone was released with improved hardware for the iPhone 5s. It comes with a lower version of the iPhone 5 series that has plastic casings instead of metals known as the iPhone 5c.
Little by little the iPhones handled by Steve Jobs were improved. Some are minor and some are major. But, nonetheless, every upgrade was a success. Today, Apple iPhone is available in many countries all over the world. And the latest one is the iPhone X, recently released on November 3, 2017. In Apple.com, you will see the introduction for the latest series “Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience. And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality. Say hello to the future.” Thus, let’s see what is with this phone that people go crazy about. Let us start with the screen, basically, the new iPhone X is all screen.
Steve Jobs meticulously look at iPhone X
There is no longer a button on the bottom center just like all the rest of the iPhone generations. The 5.8-inch screen has a Super Retina feature that let you see the phones display crystal clear. The first OLED (Organic Lighting-Emitting Diode) making the screen unbelievably crisp. Apple also introduced Face ID sensor, wireless charging and water and dust resistance. Both rear cameras have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) to create stunning photos and videos. Optical and Digital Zoom is present. The latter part can do up to 10x for photos and 6x for videos. It has dual 12MP cameras.
Apple also introduces A11 Bionic which I quote from their website is “The most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone, with a neural engine that’s capable of up to 600 billion operations per second.” It is indeed the 10th year anniversary of Apple in releasing this newest one. But what will be Steve Jobs’ reaction?
Tim Cook nervously waiting for any feedback
Jobs, probably get up from the grave and tap Tim Cook’s back and say that he did a good job in producing iPhone X – a masterpiece. The future has come to iPhone X indeed and now to us consumers. He will probably mention some features that need improvement and question about.
First, the notch at the top bar of the phone. It supposed to be all screen but because of that notch, it could have been perfected.
Second, the thickness. Jobs made iPhone slimmer every time he releases a new one, but, the iPhone X seems to be thicker. But, kudos to the size. It’s just perfect. Not too small and not too big.
Third, why the fingerprint scanner has been removed. But, those are just minors. iPhone X is a great leap among the other iPhones, especially for people who are not a fan of change. Who are used to the center button and the horizontal camera and a lot more? Same reason why many people are criticising it. This phone is still the best of its kind.
Jobs smiled, tap the back of Tim Cook
After all, Apple is Apple, still many people will buy it since they know this company has a great value for money and you will not be disappointed and neither Jobs. Sure he might have some changes if he is still alive or can do better, but, guess what? Apple has a new man after his death – Tim Cook. Furthermore, there is a reason why we have the word ‘innovation’.
Apple will never stop producing a great product. According to their core value, Apple will not settle for less than excellence as long as Apple’s core values are there, that is all that matters. Cook is doing a great job after all. Jobs will surely appreciate that.
